HVAC CONTRACTOR CO-OP ADVERTISING PROGRAM

Consumers Energy is pleased to announce the continuation of the Co-Op Advertising Program for Heating, Cooling and Water Heating program (HVAC) Trade Allies in 2023.

CONSUMERS ENERGY HVAC PROGRAM END-OF-YEAR $75 CONTRACTOR BONUS INCENTIVE

Consumers Energy is pleased to announce a year-end contractor bonus program, designed to reward participating contractors for 2022 application submissions and great effort towards another successful program year.

2023 RESIDENTIAL HVAC FEDERAL STANDARD CHANGES

As a reminder, beginning Jan. 1, 2023, there will be updated performance standards and testing procedures in effect for central air conditioners and air source heat pumps. The update in performance standards will result in new rating efficiencies: SEER2, HSPF2, and EER2.

FEDERAL TAX CREDITS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED

As part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022, federal tax credits for energy efficient home upgrades have been extended. Any qualifying home improvements to your customer’s primary residence completed after December 31, 2021, may be eligible for federal tax credits when filing for tax year 2022. This is an opportunity for your customers to potentially offset the cost of their qualifying home improvements even further.
