Made in Michigan (MIM) will help support the local Michigan economy and help Consumers Energy customers save even more on energy-efficient home improvement projects. The program will promote the use of products that have at least 50 percent Michigan-made content. The MIM Program will offer rebates for the installation of energy-efficient products that were manufactured in Michigan in addition to the rebates offered under the existing Consumers Energy Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® (HPwES) and Insulation and Windows (INWIN).
Manufacturing employs approximately 575,000 people in Michigan.
Every dollar spent on final sales of manufactured products supports $1.34 in output from other economic sectors.
